Shocker! It's an Update!
Sorry to be off the radar for so long, but we're about to remedy that situation with a Less Than Three Blog Update! =)
So what has been going on? Well we've locked down the ceremony location, the reception location, the officiant, the photographer and the videographer. We've also decided on our Save the Date design and those should be going out sometime in January. After all that we are also in the midst of setting up a wedding website. Some things have been filled out, others need to be completed, but we'll have it all finished by the time the Save the Dates go out. The address will be made known once it's ready. *whew!*
On top of all that, Becky went shopping for a wedding dress. She went out browsing and 2 hours later found the most perfect dress. Steve doesn't want to hear or see anything about it until he sees her walking down the aisle next June. And so you, too, will have to wait to see the unveiling. Haha ;)
Also, two Fridays ago we had an engagement photo session with our photographer. It was a blast! We had so much fun just being our goofy selves and came away with some great pictures. Keep an eye out for some to be posted in the near future on Facebook and on our website.
Wow, that was quite the update. There's probably more, but that's all our tired brains can remember at the moment. After the holidays we'll probably be able to keep on top of our updates. Until then, we hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas. May the new year be fabulous to you! See you in 2012!

Colors!
However, while researching venues we saw a wedding using these colors in one of those books everyone keeps to show off and Becky finally came around.
Next we get to start cake tasting! From what I've heard this is one of the things that make the planning process bearable. So much cake, so little time...

Food That Makes You Weak in the Knees
Steve and I have taken a small break from wedding planning...small break, mind you (with the emphasis on small) ;) and are down in Sacramento for Thanksgiving visiting his family. (My future in-laws! Love you guys!) =)
Had a great Thanksgiving and actually jumped back on the wedding bandwagon by checking out wedding bands a few hours ago. Now we're running a few errands and made a stop at ABC Bakery. A place that instantly earned a warm spot in my heart when we were down here last March.
Why? Oh, I'll tell you why...
They have these little buns that are the most AMAZING little buns I have ever eaten! Becky, welcome to the delightfully yummy world of the Char Siu Bao. And Becky exhales her response of "mmm...Yummmmmmmm" while her eyes subsequently roll back in her head.
The yummy goodness of these little buns had my devoted love from the very first bite. Filled with most flavorful bbq pork and hot steamy air rising out of the sweet breaded encasing, these things have made my mouth water for 8 months. And I finally got to partake again.
Steve: "Welcome to Asian culture."
Me: "Thank you for letting me in."
And I will be back. ;)

Colors. Dun...Dun...Duuunnnn.....
The decison making has begun. The fiancée and I figured we should start thinking of a color scheme. So we put ourselves in the truck and made our way to Lowe's. Now a national hardware chain isn't your typical place to start planning a wedding, but I had a goal in mind. Look at paint chips! Steve calls them swatches...so I've combined them to create our new term - Paint Swips. See? I can compromise. ;) So off we went to peruse the paint swips.
Upon arrival, there were paint swips galore. We had agreement, we had disagreement and lively debates. So what did we decide on? Well, we decided to leave the store with many paint swips and will make the decision later. ;)
But we're on our way. =)

The next step
The date of our union will be June 23, 2012, and strangely it feels right around the corner and far away at the same time. There is so much to do all the sudden and little time to do it between work and just trying to enjoy being engaged! We will try to keep this updated throughout the planning process to chronicle our new adventure.
